Project status
reachq is a pre-1.0, source-first Python library. This page defines what is supported today and where the project is deliberately cautious.

Supported today
- Directed and weighted directed graph primitives with insertion-order vertex indexing.
- Reachability shortcut-set construction and exact reachability-preservation checks.
- Weighted hopset construction and bounded-hop shortest-path queries with explicit epsilon.
- Deterministic seeded construction, serialization helpers, CLI smoke paths, and invariants.
Experimental boundary
Modules under reachq.research and optional acceleration backends are useful for exploration, but are not part of the pre-1.0 stability contract. Research notes explain the relationship to the cited paper; they do not expand the supported API.
Release status
The current development snapshot is 0.9.0.dev0. There is no PyPI release or Git tag for this snapshot, so installation from a source checkout is the supported path.
Adoption rule: treat measured behavior and the current tests as the contract. Read limitations before using a construction in production.
